Asher YoungCurator
Asher Young is a Computing and the Arts major at Yale College (BR ‘17). He has been involved in design across campus in a variety of capacities, from theatrical productions to concerts. His recent projects include Dramat productions, Spring Fling, Harvard-Yale, and a.squared. Outside of design, Asher is also involved in various activities such as TEDx Yale and the Yale Climbing Team. He also has had the opportunity to work for various companies and artists such as Arc3 Design, ESI Designs, and Melchior productions, as well as design projects all across the country. Asher is very excited to see the amazing work of artists from all around the University and to see how their collaboration inspires new, groundbreaking work. He hopes that this festival will not only showcase the talent of the individual artists and academic discoveries across the University but also provide a medium to fuse new meaning into one of Yale’s most iconic cultural landmarks. |
Douglas StreatCurator
Douglas Streat is a Psychology/Neuroscience major at Yale College (MC '16) who will also be joining the Yale School of Public Health this fall to pursue an MPH in Health Care Management ('17). Doug has designed in a variety of environments on campus including work on dozens of theatrical productions, Spring Fling and Harvard-Yale. At the core of his artistic goals, Doug is committed to merging technological power and interdisciplinary studies with innovative ideas to achieve artistic goals. On campus, Doug works for the Office of Undergraduate Admissions, is involved in clinical research, and is the Musical Director of the Yale Society of Orpheus and Bacchus, an undergraduate a cappella group. Doug hopes that this festival will serve as a vehicle to inspire future collaboration between artists and researchers and to promote interdisciplinary content creation on campus and beyond.

Eli BlockCurator
Eli Block is a Computer Science major at Yale College (BK '16) and the varsity coxswain of the Men's Lightweight Crew team. He is heavily involved in design and production on campus, most recently working on The Rocky Horror Show, a.squared, and Yale College's Spring Fling. Eli delights in designs that break conventional rules - creating altogether new experiences for attendees. In the past he has designed and produced projects ranging from small-scale circuses to flash-mob style events. Currently, Eli is employed on campus as a Student Tech and House Manager. Eli sees Lux as an exciting opportunity to highlight the impressive work that happens on a daily basis at Yale. He looks forward to unifying talent from across the many divisions of the university, and hopes that this work will demonstrate the immense value of collaboration across diverse fields. |

Emily BosisioProducer
Emily Bosisio is a Psychology major at Yale College (TC '16). Emily has worked extensively in both music and event management during her last three years at Yale producing music videos and concerts as a.squared's Executive Producer, three albums featuring original music by Yale students as president of 1701 Records, and large outdoor concerts as a member of the Yale Spring Fling Production and Design team. On campus, Emily has also managed college-wide events with the Yale Event Management Association and the Trumbull College Council, plays ultimate frisbee, and works for the Trumbull Master's Office. She has also worked with Caroline Records and Red Bull.
Emily is inspired by the potential art has to connect people and looks forward to fostering new connections in this collaborative piece. She hopes that this festival will inspire new initiatives on campus and become a symbol for how empowering and supportive the Yale community is. |

Laurel LehmanProducer
Laurel Lehman is majoring in History at Yale College (TC ‘17). Laurel has been involved on production teams for a wide variety of theatrical works on Yale’s campus, and worked at Mach 2 Management as an Event Management and Logistics specialist, working with a number of Fortune 500 companies. She serves as alumnae coordinator for Proof of the Pudding, Yale’s all-female jazz and swing a cappella group, and currently works as a Trumbull College Master’s Aide and as a Media Tech for the Yale Student Technology Collaborative. On campus, Laurel can be found singing with Proof, playing trumpet with the Yale Precision Marching Band, or working in the Trumbull Buttery.
Laurel cannot wait to see the new innovations of the festival’s artists and researchers and is excited to help their visions come to fruition. She is inspired by the Lux production team each and every day and hopes that the collaborative nature of the festival sparks other such artistic collaborations across Yale’s campus community.

Katherine FangReception and Panels Manager
Katherine Fang is a Global Affairs major at Yale College (TC ’17). She is an associate editor of the Yale Politic, serves on the Title IX Advisory Committee, and works as a Peer Liaison at the Asian American Cultural Center. She has studied Arabic for six years and works at the Council of Middle East Studies assisting with academic conferences focused on the dynamics of the region. Over the summers, she has spent extensive time in Morocco, Oman, and Israel studying Arabic and conducting social science research. She is also a club figure skater on campus. Katherine is excited to be a part of such a fresh and ambitious project that brings together talent across different fields in an enterprising and visual collaboration. |

Faculty & Staff Collaborators
Erich BoltonLecturer & Projection Supervisor, School of Drama; Lecturer, Theater Studies
Erich Bolton is a Lecturer in Technical Design and Production and the Projection Supervisor for Yale School of Drama and Yale Repertory Theatre as well as a Lecturer in Theater Studies. He teaches classes in video projection, control systems for live entertainment and other technology for theater. He has engineered video and LED systems for Priscilla Queen of the Desert (Broadway and tour), Aladdin (Broadway), and the Walt Disney Theatre onboard the Disney Fantasy and Disney Dream (Disney Cruise Lines). He continues to work with Hudson Scenic Studio on projects involving LED, video, show control, and automation systems. He is currently the Special Events Coordinator for the United States Institute for Theatre Technology’s annual conference where he oversees all of the artistic, technical and logistical elements for the all-conference events. He holds a BS in Computer Engineering from the University of California, Davis and an MFA in Technical Design & Production from Yale School of Drama. |

Louisa de CossyTechnical Specialist, Digital Media Center for the Arts
Louisa is the technical specialist at the DMCA, she has fifteen years of experience in photography and film production and is a graduate cum laude from UC Berkeley’s Art Practice Department where she specialized in art film production. After graduating, Louisa worked at the Saul Zaentz media center where she helped to run the Berkeley Digital Film Institute. During that time Louisa consulted on the production and development of films such as Zaytoun, Witness11, IOU, and most recently Up Pohnpei. At the DMCA Louisa assists with IT and helps to manage the team of student CAs; she also schedules classes and assists Lee Faulkner with in-class workshops. |
Kathryn KrierHead of Undergraduate Production
Before heading UP, Kate served as a Lecturer and Design Advisor for Yale’s Theater Studies Program, helping to oversee the program’s Senior Project production season. She has managed a range of Yale programs as diverse as the World Performance Project, the Yale Baroque Opera Project and the campus-wide Shakespeare at Yale initiative. She has worked in scenic and lighting design for Theater Studies, the World Performance Project, and the Yale Cabaret. She holds an MFA in Technical Design and Production from the Yale School of Drama. |
